Agent Authority Standards Institute the standard that can prove what it says

Code of Conduct draft v0.1

Status: draft — under counsel review (A7). The presence and text of this policy follow the standard SDO policy inventory; substance changes land only through counsel review.

Scope. Applies to all participation in Agent Authority Standards Institute activities: proposals, reviews, discussion, and any space where AASI work occurs.

Expected conduct.

  • Professional, respectful engagement; critique ideas and evidence, never persons.
  • Honest claims: state only what is true; label self-assessments as self-assessed; label demonstrations as demonstrations; cite verifiable records where they exist. Misrepresenting a verification record is a conduct violation of the first order.
  • Admission-by-conduct: standing in AASI is earned and kept by the quality, honesty, and verifiability of one's contributions — and by how one treats other participants.
  • Respect the recorded process: decisions land in the numbered proposal record; no participant may claim off-record authority.

Unacceptable conduct. Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks in any form; sustained disruption of the process; misrepresentation of identity, affiliation, or authority; fabrication or falsification of records, claims, or attestations.

Reporting and enforcement. Report concerns to the founding steward. Reports are handled promptly and as confidentially as the situation allows. Enforcement actions (correction, warning, suspension of participation) are recorded decisions — accountable in the same written record as the technical work. Enforcement transfers to the successor governance body as stewardship transfers.
